my jack has some weird white spots on his head. any idea what this is? hes in a tank with an oscar. they do not fight. water is fine. changed once a week.

I do believe jacks are prone to hole in head disease.. like discus.. if that is the case I would get some metronidazole and dose accordingly to fix that before it kills him

i was looking at some stuff, it wouldn't be ick would it?

white spots

so you think the white spots are hole in the head or is it just a part of his color? I will try to take some better pictures

HITH is a parasitical condition in discus and angelfish. HLLE (head and lateral line erosion) is a condition in many larger cichlid species in which the head and lateral line develops pits, mainly due to poor diet and improper water conditions (especially high nitrates).
