125 gallon tank, water tests ok, but water has a green or yellowish tint? little advise please...

thanks

Is it green? A white cup or bucket will show you whether it's green or yellow. Yellow would indicate tannins most likely. Green, well, that's algae. Before recommending anything, it would be best to know the color, and a little about what's in the tank (driftwood, plants, fish, etc)

tiger barbs (5), pelco (1), bala sharks (4), corys (2), hatchets (2), and 3 other i dont know what they are. around two inches long.

the water is green in color.

have a fluval fx5 filter, one 350 marineland HOB filter.

i change 1/3 water every week.

no live plants.

one 15" piece of driftwood.

Yellow = tannins or fish waste. You do regular PWCs, so it shouldn't be fish waste.

Green = algae. Excess light with some ammonia in the tank will cause green water. What are your parameters?
