If you mean "Botia lohachata", then yes, they are just two different names for the same great fish! I have 2, and I love them!

Botia lohachata is an older and invalid name for the Yo-Yo Loach. The currently recognized name is Botia almorhae. I wrote a profile on these fish that might be of interest to you. Here's a link: http://www.aquariumadvice.com/viewtopic.php?t=19557

I read that profile. Really good info. I just wanted to make sure as the lfs had them listed as botia lochata. Therefore not only were they using an old name but they had it misspelled. Thanks everyone for the good info.
I'm going to put him in with clown loaches, Tiger Barbs, pleco, and a silverfin shark---any potential problems?

The only potential problem I would see is I hope you have a big tank!
Clown loaches can grow to be about a foot long each! I'm not sure exactly which shark you mean, but they can also get to be 6 inches to a foot in length! And unless you get a variant pleco, they can get to be 2 feet long!
I don't think any of those fish could create any issues for the yo-yo loaches, or vice versa. They are pretty fiesty little guys, and are a tad aggressive, but they usually just chase each other around.
