Zebra Pleco

I find the '$50 zebra pleco in Mexico' suspect. Even amongst captive breeders, the cheapest fry sell for is about $60 each (in Germany). Just this past week, a local aquarist sold her colony of 22 for $5300....I am not sure whom to, but I am hoping a local breeder that just produced a dozen fry himself.

Wow if i brough some from mexico...will they let me get them over the border??....

You csn certainly make a killing if you successfully breed them.

How do they breed though. You need a lot to hope some do. Most likely the average Joe or Kristen would spend a killing!!

Thats true...I'm not interested in breeding or keeping them....I just saw those auctions and thought about how much people are making. I have heard they are hard to breed though. And if people are paying $1200 for 3...they better be doing some praying that they will breed and make up that big chunk of change.
