I couldn't find PFS, so I bought this zeosand instead (says its a superior PFS replacement). But when I got it home and opened the bag it's more like a 2-3mm gravel. But more importantly its sharp! So since I can't use as I intended (for substrate) can I bag it and use it in my canister filters? Is was $20 so I'd like to find some use for it!
Thanks for any and all thoughts!

I found some PFS. It doesn't look very good (dry at least) and the grains are odd shaped and quite sharp also. Surely this sand can't be good for cories and kuhlis? I've ordered a bag in (no one carries it in store?!) but I'm really not sure about it. It seems more of a compromise between real Sand and gravel. Only the gravel they are on ATM is smooth 3mm river gravel. Hmmm

Okay just bought 2 x 20kg bags of filter sand that isn't sharp. $20 each, which is $4 cheaper than the river sand at the lfs.
