I've got this one in my big tank. My ghost knife fish thinks it's fun to swirl next to it in loops. Weird.

When used as a utility pump, what is the necessary tubing width for both output and input? 3/8" and 1/2" respectively?

I have no idea...I use it to move water and as a bubbler in my tank. The fish seem to like it.

Bought the 600...it is SUPER strong. No joke, I have a koralia 425 which cost over 2x as much as this...and this puts out 4 times as much flow. Converted it to a powerhead because it was too strong and it's still stronger than the koralia! I can only imagine how strong the higher end ones are.

Definitely recommend for any budget. Time will tell how long it holds up.
