I will never own another 55. I love it as a grow out, but they are useless when you consider they take up the same amount of room a 75 does.

Good point, there always up for appealing prices though lol. My first tank was a 55 with an oak stand for $60. Turtles still in it I'm working on moving her to a 135 ($60 also!)

No doubt that's a good deal. However not for any price would I waste the tank space. Any how congrats on the good deal.

It's not like I'm saying 55g tanks are bad, just compared to the 75's the stocking options are night/day different.

I personally don't like 55s, I like my 40 breeder way better and I think the fish do too. I would always rather have a bigger footprint over some tall tank that has a huge empty spot on the top.
