Thanks. It is a dirted tank that housed a betta until yesterday. I dose liquid carbon whenever I remember to do so. And that could be either once a week or once a month. :)
 
Oh wow. I thought growth like that only happens using Co2. Im officially impressed! What type of liquid carbon? Last question I promise.
 
The wonders of a dirted tank! Co2 booster that you can find at your local fish store. I bought 8oz at Christmas and I still have half a bottle. I don't dose that often. It gets messy every time I remove plants ( when selling). It didn't bother my betta much( now in a 10 gallon) but I am about to put some platies in there. I am trying to grow some riccia and other plants in this tank. I only use this tank for growing plants that I will sell so aquascaping is not important. I would not convert my 40 gallon or hight tech tank to dirt since I am constantly moving the plants around.
