I've had two amano shrimp die after molting. One died a few hours after successfully shedding and the second died during. According to the API test kit my KH is 6 and GH 12.

Some google searching suggests KH/GH around 6 would be fine for shrimp but is a GH of 12 too high? I've tried keeping shrimp in the past and they always seem to die after molting as well.

Any tips?

Amanos are mostly WC, so many die in first week or two. But if they get established they are quite hardy. I'm not sure about GH. Hopefully someone has a more informed answer.
