I've had em for a long time - guy told me they were ramshorns but i knew better than that. They just don't have the pretty spots on them I see on a lot of MTS.

Hope pictures come through.

The striped ones are my favorite :)

Oh I forgot the biggest reason I asked. They don't seem to burrow much- I have a sand substrate but they are on top and on the glass all the time. Maybe just because there are so many of them in the tank? Anyone else have MTS that are always out?

I think it depends on the strain really, I've had some that stay buried most of the time and the ones I have now are always out.

My mts are on the waterline most of the time(easy to pick em out). They only really go into the sand when I don't feed on the weekends. They are a pain in my rear end!
