I've had my RCS for a month now. A week ago I noticed one of them was berried, very exciting for me since this is my first time keeping shrimp. Everything was fine in the tank until she died this evening.

It's a 5g tank, water params are good, I did a small WC 2 days ago, nothing new was added to the tank or changed. All the other shrimp are fine. Any ideas about why the loss?

Thanks. It's disappointing because she was my first berried shrimp; I'm just thankful there haven't been any other losses.

What do you feed them? I know that the berried process takes all sorts of nutrients out of them. Low protein or calcium? I lost a berried once along with a few others over the course of a week. Added some kale to the tank every week or two and they seem to be doing a lot better.
