I wanted to get some small algae eating invertebrate for the new tank I am planning for my betta. I haven't decided if it will be a three or five gallon. I was thinking either some sort of snail, like a golden mystery snail, or ghost shrimp. I have had ghost shrimp before and think they are so interesting, but would my betta eat them? Also, if you have any other invertebrate that you think would work, I am open for options.

What about nerite snails? I found my bettas left them alone and they're also hard worker's, they always keep my tank's free from algae. When I had mystery snails in with the betta it would constantly harass them.

The ghost shrimp will slowly vanish. Midnight betta snacks! (at least in my experience)
