Flora max and ghost shrimp

I asked about flourite earlier, but I see that flora max is cheaper. I know it doesn't last forever but is this also safe for ghost shrimp?

It should be just fine. I've had ghost shrimp with mine.

Did you sand cap it or was it the only substrate? I just want to make sure.
