I wanted to know if copper sulfate is bad for cherry shrimp because it is in the ingredients for wardley's shrimp pellets?

From my experience, I fed these shrimp pellets that contains copper sulfate to some ghost shrimp and well they died. However, after I received my cherry shrimp I decided to buy food specifically designed for shrimp(Fluval Shrimp Granules: you can get this on amazon). This product contains copper oxide, not one of my cherry shrimps have died from this so I speculate that the copper in shrimp pellets must have been in a lethal level to the shrimps while the copper in Fluvals pellets were within the threshold. Hope this helps!

Shrimp need trace amounts of copper to help with "blood" production/health. The trace amounts of copper sulfate/oxide found in fertilizers and foods will not harm invertebrates in anyway.

However the amount of copper in fish medications are lethal.
