So my first ever snail, Energizer, an olive nerite, as been through Hades this week. Her operculum broke off sometime Sunday night. She was under a rock with it dangling there, and once I got her upright, she was moving around like nothing ever happened. She looks weird with more of her body out of the shell that before, but she doesn't act injured or lame, so I guess it's just the way she will be at least for a while. Now tonight, she looks like she has this white stringy thing coming out her side. About the thickness of a feeler, about twice as long, and best I got is about the color of cooked pasta. She still acts normal. Everyone else is fine except Tigger, who I'm 99% sure is dead. Not in the same tank now. Feedback is welcome as is well-wishes for the poor snail and her rough week (lol), but keep in mind, this is the snail that scared my betta.
