Nerite snail and angelfish

I recently got a nerite snail. He is pretty big. Once I put him in the tank he was moving quickly around. Today, however, he has not moved and his trapdoor is up. The only fish I have in my tank is an angelfish. Is my snail dead?

He is probably just taking a nap. When snails die, usually their trapdoor are left open. Take a sniff test as a last measure. I think it is a definite way of telling whether a snail has died or not. If it smells, it has passed away and if it doesn't he is alive and you just disturbed his sleep.

I have 2 mystery snails along with 4 angelfish. I haven't had a problem between them. The angels never care about them.

My Nerites lay dormant sometimes. I doubt that Angelfish will bother the Nerites.
