Ok ok ok had fish for years so its not my first rodeo .... But the blonde is showing a little now.... I bought 4 nerite snails last week. Love love love them! Well, it's time for my weekly water change and (here come the blondness :).... )

So, when I do my water change (have a python) do I need to worry about the snails if they are close to the top of the tank? Will they move down as the water goes down??

I once had a nerite spend the night on the floor because he was hiding on a chunk of driftwood and fell off when I was transferring it. He ended up surviving without any problems.

In short: they'll just fall off if they get too dry, and they can survive extended periods out of water. Unless you're taking hours to do a WC, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks, I just took the plunge and did my WC a little while ago... They stayed where they were and ignored me anyways lol
