I have a healthy nerite snail, Roger, who is very active and cruises around the tank at all times. Had him for over 5 months now.
Occasionally, I give him some veggies like zucchini, cucumber, blanched spinach. He used to like zucchini but recently he won't touch a thing.
I'm concerned if he gets enough food... There is some algae in the tank, so I know he isn't starving. But why isn't he eating the veggies no more?! Any thoughts... ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1393640196.450748.jpg

Some snails get picky. He must be getting plenty of other food. A hungry snail will eat anything it can get. They also eat left over fish food, decaying plant matter, as well as, algae. He will not starve as long as you put in fish food. Do you cook the veggies slightly? Some like them that way.

I tried both ways, slightly cook and uncooked.
I do see him cruising over the substrate a lot, must be feeding on left over bits of fish food.

Thanks for the info!
