Hello!

I currently have a heated, filtered 5 gal tank with 3 guppies. The aquarium does not have a lid. I'm thinking of getting two ghost shrimp to place in this aquarium.

My concern is my open top aquarium. Without a lid, will the shrimp most likely climb out? I was thinking of placing the shrimp in a 3gal nursery tank with a lid, however will the survival rate of my fry decrease? I would hate for these babies to be shrimp food :(

Any advice is welcomed. Thanks!

When I first started stripping my Cichlids I put them in a 10g with about 8 ghost shrimp and a bunch of RCS. My first batch of fry yielded 27! Then they started to disappear! Within 2 weeks I had none :( I rehomed my Ghosties and haven't had a disappearance since. Good luck!
