Ramshorn snails with Shrimps?

I read conflicting stories. Some say they go after a molted shrimp and kill them. I am interested to put them in my shrimp only tank. Can you please share your experience with shrimps and ramshorn together? I have a nano 6 gallon with lots of shrimps. Please reply. Thanks.

No issues with ramshorn snails and shrimp. Been keeping them with my neos for at least 2+ years.

Thanks. I suspect that the reports were of ramshorn going after a dead shrimp but people clearly said they saw there ramshorn eating a molting shrimp. Maybe they mistook.

So how is your experience with them? They multiply like crazy?

Any shrimp that sits still long enough for a snail to get ahold of it would have to be very weak.

But that's how they are when molting.

Hello kas...

Ramshorn snails are peaceful, they don't get big enough to do any damage to fish or plants. They will reproduce quickly if you feed too much and this adds to the waste material in the tank. If you keep the food to a minimum and change out a lot of tank water and do it every few days, you shouldn't have a problem.
