I do purified water and still add prime to make sure there isn't anything that will upset them, I have a 10g with all three, crs,CBS,& rcs only 5 each of the crystals but hopefully they will make more,

wouldn't the CBR interbreed with the CRS?

The babies either come out red or black not both or brown

That's what the breeder told me and what I've read

From all that I have heard, the hybrids are brown. But there are exceptions, I believe.

I know that some will be brown but if two browns breed I read on planted tank.net that the babies will either be red or black not brown
