So I have a nano 5 gallon tank that's been running for a year now with 5 neons and a amano shrimp, I've been considering on buying a red cherry for the tank but I'm not sure if my neons will get along with it.
Does anyone have any experience with keeping these two together?

My tank is a planted tank with Pygmy chain swords and jungle Val so it will have a few hiding places if it needs it.

I've never had neons, but my cardinals and rummy nose would eat the shrimps. Some of the pretty large cherries too.

I have 5 rcs in a 20 with schools of rasboras and black neon tetras. They don't bother a thing. You should be ok. Give them things to climb on and a sponge filter is desired as they like to filter feed
