I've been thinking of adding shrimp to my tank but I have a shellfish allergy. Has anyone in my situation ever had any experience doing this?

My family has never had an issue. We've had shrimp, crayfish, crabs, etc.

I think it is more with the eating of the flesh, not moving it around, with that said you should have your allergy medicine ready and try and use gloves when moving the critters around.

Thanks for the input. I'm looking at possibly getting some cherry shrimp.

+1 ^^^
There is an AA member with a severe shellfish allergy and snails in the tank presented a problem. Gloves and snail eradication helped. I cannot recall if this user ever had any shrimp.
