Small tanks are easier to scape imo
I totally agree! Years ago when I first got into the hobby is started with a 29g, then progressed to the point of a dozen tanks, biggest was 75g.

Now my largest tank is a 16g, although it's almost completely stocked with nano fish. I also have a 10g and 4 tanks under 5g.

Funny...I've had a similar progression. Years ago lived in a smaller place with multiple larger tanks. Now I live in a bigger place with a pair of 20g longs.
Sorry no pics today.

Love it! I'm a small tank person too.

AndrewM that was quite the weed wacking that happened in that tank! WOW what did that end up being a gallon size bag full.

Planning to do a before and after on my shrimp tank soon, it is a jungle right now. Always seem to forget to do the "before" pic.

The red rili tank that will be moving to the spouse's office. I think I'm finally happy with the plants. Should have been adding a group of chile rasboras to it today, all but 1 were DOA though. So the move is on hold until I figure out what to do about the fish situation...

Started with a 20L and then this. Have 10 different types of shrimp. Both neocaridina and caridina. Working on a few cross breeds as well.

My shrimp tank isn't the most spectacular thing in the world, it's on the smaller side, but I did manage to get some cool pics of the shrimps themselves :D ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1423711255.958383.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1423711277.625108.jpg

Is that what the red/clearish one is? I bought all cherry shrimp, but that is the only one marked that way. I'm really new to shrimp, so I wasn't sure if it was a cherry or not.

Neos can breed between colors, so it could be a red rili, or an oddly colored cherry. Still nice though!

Here are a few of my red rili:
