Hi. If you set up your tank with a good substrate and a variety of plants your shrimp will love it, just set out the tank so it's appealing for you. Shrimps aren't that fussy unless you keep fish as well, then they will need more cover. If keeping smaller shrimp, like red cherry shrimp, then a good amount of moss is welcome, especially if you also have fish. I take the view that the tank should be full and lush and that the shrimp are not constantly on show. Feeding time is then the best time to sit and enjoy watching them. This is just personal preference though as I keep red cherries and a variety of small fish together.
