Shy Assassin? Or just stealthy?

I picked up an Assassin Snail last weekend and it seemed very active and was on the move as soon as I added him to my tank. However, he quickly burroughed into my Pool Filter Sand substrate and I haven't seen him much since then. I got him to help keep my MTS population in check. Is he adjusting to his new environment? Or is he just feasting on all the MTS under the Sand?

Ive got two of them in a 10 gallon. One or both of them will disappear for a week or two at a time. Im not sure what they do when they burrow, but so far they've always come back.

Thanks! Good to know. I didn't realize they burrowed so much. If I'd known that, I would have just got these guys instead of the MTS.
