Siphon of some sort?

Meet Roger, my mystery snail. I've had him for several months now and this is the first time I've seen this siphon(?). Any idea what this is or what this means?

Dang it! I know what it is, but the word slipped my mind! Ugh, I think it's called a snorkel and it's perfectly normal I do believe. It helps them get oxygen from the surface

Oh gotcha. Does it mean that O2 is lacking in my tank? Or do they so that regardless of in-water O2 supply?

It's normal. You might not have seen it before because they are more active at night.
