I have 5 assassin snails in my 20 gallon. They have left the nerite snails alone, but there are also plenty of other snails for them to eat. I did make my own little snail trap with a small rubbermaid container. I used the small ones that you might put salad dressing in if you take your lunch to work. I heated a phillips head screwdriver on the stove and poked some holes in the container. I threw in an algae wafer for bait and put the lid on. I had to weigh it down for it to stay at the bottom of the tank, but, after a few days, I did have several snails in there. It worked great, but I decided to not take food out of the mouths (?) of the assassins. It's easier to let them do all the work.
