but i did some research and she cant drop the eggs, but once they hatch she can throw the babies off when she feels threatened.

Well thats good news since they are still just eggs... i wonder if the changes in water parimeyers will affect the eggs at all? i have no experience with these lil guys but I think Alyxx has experience with Crays so you might try and PM her and see if she has any advice or help

Im just gonna use the other 10g for now. Wont need the 20g til the younger batch of fry are a bit bigger... they are just starting to get the angel fins, whereas my 8 older fry look like mini angels and are 5 weeks old so need the 10g soon. The baby crays will be angel food anyways so...

Haha... I now have 12! Got three new ones yesterday and there's one I bought and still need to pick up. My marbled crays are moving into the new 20 long! And most of the other tanks are for betta breeding. Yup, breeding means more tanks but it is definitely worth the work.
Oh, and even if she throws the babies, they will come climbing back onto her. I've watched this happen. It was pretty funny to see this cloud of crayfish, then all of them scrambling back onto mom's back to get back on her swimerettes.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I love these little guys, they are so entertaining. Can't wait to get mine into a bigger home. Although they are going to have to wait for the top to come in. They are great little escape artists! And I know those baby angels will just love having some as a snack. My puffers go nuts for them.

Lol alyxx decided one of the fish in my tank. I now have 8 kuhli loaches by the way!!! I had read they would come back to her, the issue was that i will have young angels going in the tank, but i guess they could always just eat the baby crays small enough, and ill remove them as they get bigger... im gonna keep one and raise her to breeding size and once she is big enough prob feed this one to my Oscar... what is the breeding span for these girls tho?? Cause i am interested in seeing how big she will get.

Alyxx, when could i move her and the babies??? I know she will throw them once she leaves the water, so use a cup??? They dont seem to be very mobile atm... a couple have fallen off and were on the bottom of the tank... i sucked them up and fed them to the angels. I ask because i have wigglers from the angels that i need to move and i need to play musical tanks to make room...
