Hi,

I am new to this forum, and new to aquarium keeping in general!

I have a 46 litre tropical tank, with 3 very healthy mollies, and 2 clown loaches, plus a big shrimpy thing.
I set up the tank about 7 months ago, and when I did I bought two bits of bog wood with live plants attached.

I'm guessing that one of these bits of bogwood must have had a snail or two attached as a few weeks later I noticed a little snail, which was fine.

However, in the last few weeks they seem to have multiplied, and I must have in excess of 25 snails now, ranging from 1mm to 15mm.

How many is too many?! Will they just keep multiplying? They seem to just come out at night, and when they do its like a carpet of snails!
I have attached a couple of photos, does anyone know what type they are?

Any advice appreciated!
