what crab should I get?

I have a 10g, freshwater tank with 2 guppies and a snail. I just want a crab about two inches long. any suggestions?

Fiddlers need land and are escape artists and will eat any fish they can catch.

All need land. I got myself a nice pair pair of geosesarma sp. Celebes, they are mainly land crabs and only go to water to peel of their shells.

Some other crabs are happy with a peace of floating wood.

Oh. Okay. between the cover of the tank and the water there is only like an inch. if I put a fake floating plant will that be enough room?

Depends on how big your crab gets, best is a special rank for crab.
