a lovely backyard idea.....
the other day i was driving by a residence in the neighborhood that connects to mine, and they had the most awful backyard. well, let me rephrase that. it was a steep, sloping upward hill, that looked like a pain in the rear to try and mow. so, these people had done something different, they put up tiered rock walls and made a waterfall which led down to a pond area. then along the tiered rock walls they had covered the ground with mulch. right now it looks pretty barron, but im sure thats because they have already spent a fortune, but im assuming they are going to put assorted plants, shrubs and small trees their when they can afford them. i just think that for anyone with a similarly crappy back yard to work with that this would be an ideal solution. and it makes it a plus if they are an avid fishkeeper. just a thought......
