Amazon sword plant reproduction in pond
I had kept amazon swords before in aquariums, but had never seen one reproduce before.
I'm getting new ramets shooting off the mother plant via stolons, with their own little root systems now. The mother plant is also blooming. It produced a long central stem, bare except for little groupings of blooms at regular intervals. 1 or 2 buds will open a day, white cuplike blooms, similar to mallows or buttercups in structure. |
