Bringing fish in for winter ?'s
I have a few questions on the subject...
1) I have commets and fancy. At what (water) temp should they be brought in? I know the commets could probably stay outside but since I have to bring in the 2 fancy's anyway... 2) What kind of environment should I provide for them inside (substrait, plants, etc)? Or is bare bottom ok (easier to keep clean)? 3) What do you reccomend for a filter? I'm looking at HOB for ease of cleaning but don't know if any 1 brand is easier than another. TIA |

Assuming you have an ample size holding tank(30 gallons for two fancies), I don't think I'd leave the fancies outside when water temp drops below 50 degrees. As far as environment goes, a bare tank will do. Make sure you do the important water changes. I don't own an HOB, but most will tell you they would recommend Aquaclear.
