Building a memorial pond - basic guidance

Hi folks

I am part of a team of volunteers currently working on Ko Phi Phi, an island off the west coast of Thailand that was devastated by the tsunami.

We are currently hard at work building a memorial garden to commemorate all those who were lost here on that day.

We plan to have two ponds in the garden, and I'd be grateful if anybody could give some basic advice about the main things we should be considering/doing. If anybody could point me in the direction of a good step by step building guide, that'd be much appreciated too. (Difficult to get hold off books out here as quite remote, so a webpage would be ideal.)

I have a pond. I can't help though unless I know more. Exactly what do you want? Do you have any fish in mind? What's the water temp? How much light will it get? I may be able to locate the website that helped me.
