Betty Dively has fishy dreams
Drift wood

Hi everybody

I'm still kind of new and still frustrated with cloudy water. One day cloudy, next day crystal clear and then cloudy constantly. I use ultraclear and check the PH constantly which is always within proper range. Any suggestions.

Also a friend of mine gave me a beautiful piece of old driftwood. She had had it in her "lizard" aquarium a while back but it has just been sitting outside on her back porch (without the lizard)for months now. I would like to put it in my fish pond but I am getting difference advice such as boil it in water, soak it in clorox and then rinse real good. Any suggestions on
this.

Thanks alot

Betty

You may boil it, don't soak it in clorox.

100% correct, Barney.

I'd be leery of this piece, it may have a lot of ammonia and such (lizard waste) soaked into it. it will need mucho soaking and or boiling, but no bleach. Bleach will soak into your wood and is darn near impossible to get rid of afterwards.
