Hand Feeding Koi
Greetings ...
I have an 800 gallon pond with comets and koi. I've heard and read a bit on koi eating from the hand ... how does one go about training koi to do this trick.

I would first just stand very close to the pond when feeding. Eventually you could probably just hold a pellet underwater until the fish ate it. If you are still for a while it might forget you are there.

I buy frozen salad shrimp and hand feed them. Koi love shrimp and will soon come and feed out of your hand.......

A Koi will grow in confidence as it grows in size, in time it will get used to you and will feed from your hand.
Just be patient and it will happen. Terry
