i found this cool thing for siphoning ponds.

its this thing you hook it up to the hose. hook another hose on the other side. put the thingy in the pond. turn the water on and you can hose away.

its called like mighty something. my mom musta cleaned up again :P

Oy. Charades anyone?

I could use a tool like that. Although the extra hoses have me confused. I have a three foot piece of hose that I use... no real water waste there. I'd be interested to see what this product is all about if you could find it.

There is a drain system called the "python" that works exactly the way your describing.

So...could it be the Mighty Python...

it doesnt work as well as it says it does or im not doing it right. its probally the hsoe is too long.

I bought a ballcock T valve thingie (sorry... not sure the proper name) and mounted it in the hose that runs from the main pump to the falls... now if I want to drain the pond any, all I have to do is turn the hand and it changes the direction of the water from going to the falls to go to the yard.
