Can't you feel 'em circlin' honey?
Can't you feel 'em swimmin' around?
You got fins to the left, fins to the right,
and your the only bait in town.

All kidding aside, if you never saw koi breeding you are really missing something special. I've been keeping fish for more than 40yrs & nothing compares with the noise, enthusiasm, splashing,(water thrown 20ft.) & length of time(12-14 hrs.) they carry on.
Unfortunately they eat the eggs every time. Maybe i'm lucky, they lay a half-million at a time......Rich

Hi Rich, how deep is your pond and do you leave the fish in over the winter?.
