my cat was framed!

For the last few days, I have been seeing leaf pieces from assorted tropical plants that I have around my pond. I assumed the cat was being bad and swatting leaves/chewing leaves. Oh contrare! I was in the sunroom, straightening up a bit when I hear a large splash! I turned to look at the pond and sure enough, the fish were jumping up out of the water and grabbing plants!

Why would they be doing this? Boredom, fishy games? It sure cannot be hunger as they are fed quite well.

[acronym:8b871f6238="Rolling on the floor laughing"]ROFL[/acronym:8b871f6238], I'm sorry I just had a mental picture of your cat looking at you like see I didn't do it. I have cats too and they are always the first likely suspects. I would think it would be fishy games for fun.

I can just imagine, and you will pay for it for as long as he can milk it. Cats are so hilarious.

Awww...guilty until proven innocent did work in this case, but as all of us cat lovers/keeper's know...they are guilty of all "other" mysterious incidents. Yeah, let him milk this one...he's gonna need it.

My guess is there are bugs on the leafs thats that fish are taking a likeing to and now they try to get them any way they can. i.e Jumping up grabbing the leafs hopeing the bugs fall in before flying away.
