Here are my lotus seeds, Some of them have a second stem growing:


Its about a foot long:


This is the container I was thinking of using for a lotus later on, it is heavy to start with, so I made a little thing to wheel it around on:

nice! I really want to do a pond, but it gets 120F here so I'm afraid of cooking the fish!

I know a lot of people wiht ponds in AZ, and [acronym:46f72915e1="By the way"]BTW[/acronym:46f72915e1], my uncle lives in Tuscon, and he says most of the time the temps are about the same here and there, and sometimes here it is hotter.

You could always keep a tropical fish pond, or perhaps find some local fish to keep. You don't necessarily have to have goldfish in a pond.
