Aequidens aequinoctialis (Previously Sp "Gold Saum")
They reach approximately 8" in length and should ideally be housed in a 4 foot tank long term (55G and up). They will do well in a 3ft tank for most of their life (40B, 65G)
Medium/High Aggression compared to similarly sized South American Cichlids. Wide/powerful jaw structure and relentess at controlling terroritory.
They do well with a high quality pellet such as New Life Spectrum or Hikari.
