November 2014 POTM Contest

November 2014 Freshwater Picture of the Month Contest -Hosted by FishCr8zy

CONTEST THEME "Recovery"

This month's theme is "Recovery". Post your photo of a fish that was sick with any illness and recovered from it. It does not matter if it healed on its own or by medications. If you want, tell us what sickness the fish had as well!

Please post your photo for the November 2014 Freshwater POTM contest.

Photos must be uploaded to your photo album and the bbcode link posted in the thread. A brief description of your photo may be included. Albums are found in your profile in the right hand column. If you need assistance uploading to an album, please PM an Aquarium Advice site team member (mod/admin), and they can walk you through it. Once uploaded, you can link directly in the contest thread here using IMG tags.

One photo per member per month allowed, and the photo MUST be taken by you.

I will select the winner of the contest based on the quality of the photograph and how closely it relates to the theme this month . The winner will copy and paste this section to a new thread, where they will decide the theme of next months contest (please only submit thread once, it has to be approved by a staff member before it shows up). Submissions will be accepted until the last day of the month. The winner will be announced on the first day of the next month. The new contest thread should be created no later than the 3rd day of the new month. I will send a PM to the winner, letting them know that they have won, along with a post in this thread. I will also send a PM to an admin or moderator, so that they can add the POTM Badge to your account. Good luck!

This is a picture of one of my rummynose tetras. When I got them, most of them had fin rot. Eventually, all but one fully healed, and they are now my favorite species.

Why does it say I don't have permission to post pictures in this thread?

Hmm I do not remember exactly but I think it had to do something with amount of posts or how long you have been a member.

I hope I'm posting this image correctly! This is what I believe to be a Green Sunfish. He changes colors rapidly and frequently. He came to live with me last August after he was spotted as a contaminate in a tank full of feeder goldfish at an LFS in Anchorage. He had bacterial finrot and other infections that required a large number of repeated/combined treatments to cure. He has now doubled in size, appears to be disease free and eats (out of my hand) everything offered to him. Love this fish and feel it was well worth the effort to bring him back from near death. Yes, I only paid 15 cents for it, the price of the feeders
