Yes, my understanding is direct image attachments (ie not a link) from an iPhone are harder to store/manage on the system and I think from memory only say a dozen are allowed per member due to storage size. They are also really difficult for any later editing such as rotating to correct orientation.
On the iPhone 6, you can add a photo very easily when in full web view using the AA album settings. Just check photo is rotated correctly.
The hard part is copying the image link back out as the iPhone thinks it is a text box and won't grab the full link url properly.
The trick I have found is to select from halfway along the image link and move the right dragger across until it highlights the right side and disappears (below). This takes a bit of practice to see what works. Then copy that part of the link to notepad.
Then select the remaining first part of the link (very easy) and copy to notepad. Join together and copy finalised link.
It sounds a mouthful but when it all works I can take a photo and upload to a post in 5 minutes. Like any software package, when it doesn't work I go back to plan B.
This is not a perfect solution but if it works for anyone else hopefully it helps.
