construction near my pond

hello it has been almost a year since i have posted here however i again have questions

i am having a fence built around my back yard and i am afraid of the debris ending up in my pond i am plaining on covering the entire pond while the construction folks are actually working

so hear is my question how bad would stray saw dust in the pond be?

isnt that kind of lumber dowsed in chemicals

thoughts and anything you else you think i should be mindful of
