How long do they live

In a fish tank my neighbor had one for a couple years. In the minnow bucket for fishing not very long, maybe a month at the most. Keep in kind that the minnow bucket is not cycled at all, and the minnows are not fed anything (they are bait for ice fishing).

In my 29 gal tropical tank i had one fat head last for a couple months. He died, but i think it was from damage done to his gills during his stay in the minnow bucket

I have a 15 gallon out door Bucket that has plants some rocks 2 inch long goldfish an 4 rosy reds how long will they live in that setting
