Goldfish color!

I bought this goldfish in the spring he was black, when I put him in my pond. A month ago I put him in my 55 gallon tank in the house for the winter, when I brought him in he was the Gold color, but now a month later he is getting dark on him and on his head. is this normal? he is swimming great and eating well! Water tests are all great, and doing water changes! My other fish are the same color they always were!

Very nice looking fish!

All of the goldies I have had recently, save for one, lose their black. Even my black moor is bright orange now @2.5 years old. The only fish I had stay black was a very dark gray/blackish oranda. It's pretty common for black to come and go in goldfish. My oldest fancy has a splotch or two that shows up along his dorsal now and then.
