Mosquito fish

Can mosquito fish overwinter in a pond that is below freezing. It doesn't get ice because of the amount if surface agitation.

I had a small school last year and after a winter that included a few freeze overs only one large female survived. Fortunately she was pregnant and produced a couple of batches before she passed in midsummer. Small pond is full of fish again.
