My fish are breeding out of control, I’ve kept live bearers for years now and have never had a population explosion like this, I normally give away the fry but with so many they are starting to add up. I’m now at twice the amount of fish I’m comfortable with in a 29 gallon tank, Is there anything I can do to slow things back down?

Water is still testing fine, I’ve increased the amount of water changes, and added a stronger filter already to help keep things clean and healthy.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the livebearer club. Have a free sympathy beer.

There's nothing you can really do to stop them breeding, and, even if you separate the males and females, the females can hold sperm for future births for several weeks.

Can you get a LFS or two to take the young?
