Pond

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Does anyone have experience with ponds and willing to give out advice? I am open to all suggestions.
Your question is very vague, but here's some of the big things that stand out to me.

In hindsight, the rental of a mini excavator would have been worth every penny for digging and leveling my pond.

Plan plan plan plan. Build bigger than you think you need-it's a one shot deal.

For an in ground pond LEVEL the edges. Take your time and do that right. Figure out what kind of pond you want, type of liner, filter, location, etc. Hit up YouTube. Visit your garden center that has fish and talk to their pond specialist. One of my best resources is my boss/friend who has had ponds for about 15 years. He can tell me things specific to our area- like how to avoid herons.

Aggressive

Do plecos or any type of catfish really, get aggressive? As I do not want my kois to die.

Will guppies work with these fish as well? Will they supply a source of food but still survive to breed if there are shallow and deep parts in the pond?

Plecos are most certainly not aggressive. Sometimes folks think that their pleco attacked a fish because they find them eating it, but it's because they're scavengers.

About the guppies though
